My Tricyrtis are beginning to bloom! Another of my fall favorites, I got this many years ago through a garden catalog and have never been disappointed by its blooms. This spring I divided one of the two clumps and now have a total of 5 clumps. I really wish I would have divided the other one also, but I will certainly do it next spring.

I love Toad Lillys. There is a strangeness between the name and how pretty they are.I saw some at the Flower show I visited, hidden on the edges of plant Nurserys displays.Great photo :)
Thanks for stopping by snappy! Toad Lilies come in a variety of colors, but my favorites are the purples and blues. They are also super easy to grow.
Hey Angie,
Love the pic. I was hoping to have some of my own to post but I was weeding and went a little wild and snapped off the heads of my Toad Lilies.
Two years of waiting and only to lose them to a terrible clippers accident. Oh well.
Thanks for stopping by my blog
Thank you for the visit. First thing I noticed was your statement, "My gardens aren't grand" I think that is an understatement. btw, your photos are not grand either - they are fantastic!
I will do a blog on our visit to the Karoo park (for you!) Lots of stones and hike trails. This week, I promise. On my aloe wilderness blog.
In time I will add some more crystals to my Namibia
blog. The crystals are too beautiful, but not that warm beauty of a flower.
me again. been thinking. You do not have some toad lily seeds to exchange from some of our lilies. lilies
ericat-I am looking forward to your post about your visit to the Karoo Park! I bet it is wonderful!
As for the grandness of my gardens, I mostly have grand flowers. I have young gardens, so in time, I have very high hopes for them.
I have been deadheading the lilies, but I will be sure to let some set seed for you. I have never collected seed from the toads before, so this will be fun!
I'm glad you stopped by!
